Since third grade in elementary school, he got an interest in masks, for instance how to do it and how to use them while dancing. After junior high school, he's getting deeper into the tools and already made the miniature of Barong and Rangda. While in Vocational High School he took Art of Karawitan.


While in Vocational High School, he started to make some masks with normal measures by himself and also looking for inspiration by himself. Since then, he's getting deeper on how to make a mask. From making it, choosing some woods, painting, leather accessories (payasan), metal accessories (making inlay), to managing and arranging hair.


Before going any further, he passed the primary requirement in Hinduism, which is Pawintenan. Pawintenan is a ceremony that aims to cleanse oneself and the mind. After graduating from Vocational High School he's more active to improve his skills on making masks and start to get into Barong mask restoration (ngodak) and Rangda for Pura, which is called as Deities (Sesuhunan).


Besides that his mask is being collected by dance maestro in Bali. In addition his mask works are also collected at home and abroad.
